What is the basis of our convictions? | An introspection

Sometimes I think What is the basis of our convictions? It is an introspection.
I took birth in one of the millions of families in the world.
In one of the several countries.
In one of the many different religions.
I was given one of the three sexes.
I took to one of the millions of shapes, heights and shades of humanity.
I learned a few of the hundreds of languages spoken in the world.
I went to one of the hundred thousands of schools and colleges in the world.
I educated myself in one of the thousands of streams in academics.
I chose a few philosophies of life out a thousands of divergent ones that exist.
I chose to be in a handful of professions out of the thousands available.
I read a handful of books out of a sea of millions of books.
I lived just a tiny moment in the vast ripple of time.
I travelled one tiny path out of a trillion exponential network of possiblities.
Yet…
I have strong beliefs.
Unwavering convictions.
Rigid stands on what is right and what is wrong.
Cemented Opinions.
By what right do I “correct” others?
What makes me so entitled to dismiss other people’s lifestyle and thinking?
What am I?
A grain in the desert of human beings
How important am I?
As important as an ant is to a human being in a hurry.
What is my contribution?
A drop in a sea.
What does my life amount to?
A decimal followed by many zeroes and a vague integer after that.
So am I to dismiss everything, my whole life?
No.
I can be more loving.
I can be more understanding.
I can have more of compassion, forgiveness and empathy.
I can be helpful.
I can try to understand the pain of others.
I can be a better human being.
