The players got richer by crores
Team sponsors earned crores.
Broadcasters earned crores.
Had the same competition been done for Farmer teams across India, we would have eliminated Farmer Poverty. We would have invested sponsors, corporates and broadcasters to uplift the plight of farmers just like we uplifted the quality of cricket.
Look at what India was in cricket before IPL and look where it is today thanks to the crores of rupees that has increased competitiveness, improved training methods and inducted new technology in the game.
Imagine what would be the plight of farmers and how it will be uplifted if the entire money making machine got into it.
We need such reforms to reach the masses.
